Payza Unveils Bitcoin Address Manager

Payza Unveils Bitcoin Address Manager

The Paypal-like platform Payza recently announced they have a new Bitcoin address manager feature. This allows Payza users to generate their own public bitcoin addresses and QR codes. Their press release stated these are multi-use addresses. Users can generate as many as they want and always receive funds at the address.

The site mentioned currently only bitcoin addressed are supported, but they plan on adding other cryptocurrencies at a later date. The site said, “This new feature lets you generate and manage cryptocurrency addresses right inside your Payza account.” Although Payza only supports Bitcoin addresses, they plan to add other cryptocurrencies in upcoming releases.

The site also stated that merchants should not rely on this new method for checking out customers. They said merchants should rely on their prior payment methods, because the new method does not provide information about the customer and their transactions. The method still allows bitcoin transactions to be processed.

The process for customers to use manage bitcoin addresses is straightforward. The press release says to just click “wallet,” then “cryptocurrency address manager,” and finally “bitcoin” from the drop down menu. Their site listed the instructions:

In your Payza account, click “Wallet” in the left-hand column. Select “Cryptocurrency Address Manager”. Select “Bitcoin” as the currency in the drop-down menu. Click “Generate New Address”.

Their press release also said that managing cryptocurrencies within the application is a streamlined process. The addresses can even be used multiple times to receive funds, and if an address is deleted, it will reappear if someone sends funds to those addresses. Users can have a maximum of 50 addresses at one time in the system.

This information comes on the heels of Payza saying they adopted full bitcoin functionality for merchants back in May 2015, and general bitcoin services in August 2014. The payment ewallet services over 13 million customers in over 190 countries. They process a total of 26 currencies, with more being added over time. It appears payza may continue to upgrade their platform with bitcoin features.
